- James Hotson is Head of Strategic Communications at the Bank of England. He joined in December 2023 to set up this new function. James has worked in communications roles for around 20 years, starting in press offices and broadening across other communications disciplines throughout his career, primarily in external communications. He’s worked in health, transport, energy, legal and financial services, mainly in government and regulatory settings. He has an MSc in Corporate Communication.
