- Biography
- A career central banker, Saurabh Nath is currently in charge of the oversight functions in the Department of Payment and Settlement Systems (DPSS) of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Prior to this role, Saurabh was the Chief Dealer in RBI’s Financial Market Operations Department, entrusted with the responsibility of operationalising RBI’s market operations in the domestic foreign exchange market. Since joining RBI in 1997, Saurabh has been involved in various central banking functions such as currency management, payment and settlement systems, government banking, foreign exchange management, domestic financial market operations and a stint as a member of faculty at the Reserve Bank Staff College, the training establishment of the RBI. Academically, Saurabh holds postgraduate degrees in economics and finance.
