Biography

Ms. Mary Anne P. Lim is the Assistant Governor and Head of the Currency and Securities Production Sub-Sector (CSPSs) of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), based at the Security Plant Complex in Quezon City. The CSPSs is BSP’s currency production arm, comprising the Banknotes and Securities Production Department (BSPD), Banknotes and Securities Production Management Department (BSPMD), and Mint and Refiner Operations Department (MROD). In her role, Assistant Governor Lim oversees the production of Philippine currency, including banknotes and coins, the printing of judicial titles, and the creation of presidential medals, state decorations, commemorative banknotes, and coins/medals. She also supervises gold refining operations in alignment with the BSP’s new Gold Buying Roadmap. In addition, she leads the ongoing modernization of production facilities and equipment, ensuring the integration of advanced technologies and processes in currency and securities production. Assistant Governor Lim joined the BSP in 2011 as a Bank Officer V in the Project Development Management Office (PDMO), after several years in legal practice following her admission to the Philippine Bar in 2005. She was promoted in 2014 to Deputy Director of the Procurement and Property Management Group under the Department of General Services and became Director of the same department in 2015. In recognition of her leadership capabilities, she was designated as Head of the Banknotes and Securities Production Department, where she led the installation of new banknote production machinery. In 2018, she was appointed Director of the Human Resource Management Department (HRMD) under the Corporate Services Sector (CSS). The following year, she rose to the position of Managing Director of the CSPSs, and in 2023, she was conferred the esteemed title of Assistant Governor in recognition of her valuable contributions to BSP’s currency management initiatives.
