Biography

Oded Salomy hails from Israel's central bank, the Bank of Israel, as a member of its Executive Committee (the parallel term in Europe is "Board"). During his term since 2020 as the chief payments regulator in Israel, he led substantial reforms in the payments sector, transforming the market to become a global frontrunner. In prior roles Mr. Salomy led digital initiatives as a senior executive at Visa Europe, founded a Fintech company, and headed payments and financial services for a global mobility marketplace. A corporate attorney by training, Mr. Salomy is a frequent speaker at trade events globally and a lecturer teaching an academic course on the payments sector to MBA students. Mr. Salomy gaduated from Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania. After his term ends in May 2025, he plans to launch a venture providing services in payments education, consulting including to the public sector, and capital to private and public entities.
