Biography

Izwan is currently responsible for driving efforts to enhance cross border payments and regulate emerging payment arrangements in Bank Negara Malaysia. In this role, he is focused on bilateral fast payment system interlinkages and Project Nexus multilateral payment connectivity. He also recently joined the Nexus Global Payments transition team to bring Nexus into live implementation. Prior to these, he was involved in the regulation of non-bank financial services, including in the areas of governance and risks management.
