Biography

Ifeanyi Muonagor is a Cybersecurity Professional with 10+ years experience developing and implementing cybersecurity strategy, security architecture, standards and frameworks. He is currently Head of Cyber Security Operations for the Central Bank of Nigeria, where he leads a diverse team and coordinates cybersecurity monitoring, cyber incident response, vulnerability management, cybersecurity awareness and threat intelligence operations. As part of the Bank’s regulatory functions, he chaired a sub-committee on the review of “The Risk-Based Cybersecurity Framework and Guide for Nigerian Deposit Money Banks”. He provides technical and advisory support for the Nigerian Financial Industry CERT (NFI-CERT)-an initiative to enhance collaboration and cyber-resilience for entities in the Nigerian financial sector. He is also a member of a multi-agency national committee for the review of “The Nigerian Cybercrime Act” and development of a “Cybersecurity Act” in partnership with the Council of Europe. Prior to his current role he held various roles leading and managing technology solutions implementation and transformation for leading international banks in Nigeria.
