Biography

Isabel Vasconcelos is currently leading the Innovation team within Markets Department at Banco de Portugal (BdP). She is responsible for driving the development and implementation of innovative IT solutions, including AI enabled tools, while fostering a culture that values critical thinking, experimentation, and a proactive approach to risk management. Her professional background also includes experience in Monetary Policy Implementation and Prudential Supervision activities, at BdP and at the European Central bank, as well as on a trading floor of an investment bank in London - Merrill Lynch. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Administration from Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics and a master’s degree in Markets and Financial Assets from ISCTE - University Institute of Lisbon.
